Matt Leov

DIRECTOR

Matthew Leov has been a Director of Total Harvesting since it began in 2004; he is sole Director and

has been since 2010.

Matthew has been contracting for 20 years and has 28 years of practical and theoretical experiencein the forest industry. With original roots in New Zealand, Matthew is well versed in the Pine sector and all too familiar with steep works and their requirements.

Matthew has a B. For.Sci from Canterbury University as well as practical experience in manual tree felling and operating machines. He has worked in Hauler operations, cut to length ground base operations, as well as high production full stem operations that produced over one million tonnes annually.

Damien Benson

GENERAL MANAGER

Damien Benson has been General Manager of Total Harvesting since 2018, overseeing and developing both Albany and Bunbury operations centres.

Damien’s initial duties saw him also functioning as Operations Manager and Transport Manager for Total Harvestings Albany Operations for his first 3 years, which involved our Pine Clearfell and Bluegum Clearfell operations along with up to 14 Prime Movers.

Damien has held middle and senior management roles for over twenty years in both the private and corporate sector prior to his commencement with Total Harvesting. Having held a State Manager role with one of the largest independently owned transport companies at the time, along with senior roles with Toll Group and private firms, Damien is strongly versed across transport operations and business management.

Adam Bremner

OPERATIONS MANAGER - ALBANY

Adam was appointed as Albany Operations Manager in February of 2022, and brings an extensive history of forestry and infield mechanical experience to our Albany operations.

A trade certified mechanic with experience as WA Maintenance Manager for C3 for the past 6 years, and as a fitter / supervisor for 4 years at SLR Enterprises, Adam started his career in forestry as an Operator in NZ.

Adam worked for 12 years in cable logging operations operating 30-40t excavators with Waratah 24” & 26” heads respectively, along with hand felling and performing breaker out duties. Transitioning to Australia, Adam was Production manager for Timbercorp for three years overseeing two operations, and as a crew supervisor for Softwood Logging for two years, controlling Bluegum and pine thinning CTL operations along with infield chipping.

Josh Hughes

TRANSPORT MANAGER

Josh started with Total Harvesting as an MC Driver in January of 2021, and has operated across all current contracts and with all combinations from B-doubles to C-Trains in his time behind the wheel.

From December 2021, Josh was appointed Transport Manager and has taken control of all current haulage commitments by Total Harvesting, monitoring and scheduling 28 trucks across our business operations.

Josh brings additional years of experience as an MC Driver to the table, along with stints as a HS&EAdvisor for Clough Projects Perth for 5 years and Supervisory experience of over 6 years with Hagstrom Drilling.

This experience makes Josh a steadfast and experienced individual to govern the CoR and accreditation requirements Total Harvesting require.

Andrew Daubney

WORKSHOP MANAGER

Andrew has been employed by Total Harvesting for the past 15 years, and has served for 11 years as a hands-on Maintenance Manager for our Albany operations. A trade Certified mechanic with 20+ years in the forestry industry, with a constant exposure to harvest & haulage operations and utilization of Waratah harvester heads, Andrew has built a superior array of knowledge and experience in maintaining and ensuring the optimization of infield plant and equipment.

These years of experience provide Andrew with a strong platform to not only supervise and manage his team of staff, but also ensure the training and development of their skillsets in the Forestry sector with what is a specific array of hardware and equipment.

Whilst Andrews role is specified to the Albany operations centre, he is utilized and provides support to our Bunbury operations centre as well.

Dennis Forsberg

OPERATIONS MANAGER - BUNBURY

Dennis joined Total Harvesting in 2019, coming across from Softwood Logging Services where he had started as an operator working on harvesters, bunchers, skidders and loaders, working his way to the chipping crews, where he was made supervisor.

After 22 years with Softwood Logging Services, Dennis transitioned to Total Harvesting where he has spent the last three years overseeing our production crews in Bunbury. Managing crews and production targets, Dennis spends a fair amount of his time infield ensuring compliance and providing checks and audits with FPC FOIC’s and staff to ensure requirements are met and standards maintained.

With his experience of performing those very duties infield, Dennis has a strong knowledge that applies directly to our operators and ensures changes are made clearly and responsively.

Matt Padlie

TRANSPORT SUPERVISOR

Matt started with Total Harvesting in 2019, coming on board as an MC Driver in our Bunbury branch.

His experience soon came to the fore, with over 10 years log haulage experience in Dunedin in New Zealand operating for Dunedin Carrying Co, where he progressed to fleet scheduling and then a supervisory role, scheduling four different companies in a central dispatch situation.

The crossover between Matts previous roles and his frontline experience within our company has made him a valued asset as he has transitioned from MC Driver to Transport Supervisor in March of 2022 with Total Harvesting.

Jason Ratcliffe

MAINTENANCE MANAGER

Jason started with Total Harvesting in May 2022, stepping straight into our Maintenance Manager role in Bunbury.

Jason has strong experience in the forestry sector, starting initially with Pine Hauliers, then working for Waratah where he developed strong knowledge of their harvesting heads, before taking further positions with forestry contractors running infield operations and performing as a Maintenance Manager, overseeing infield and haulage fleets.

From this experience, Jason’s strong knowledge serves to enable stronger uptime and consistent utilization and calibration of Waratah equipment infield. With direct control of our Bunbury Maintenance team, Jason oversees and instigates scheduled maintenance and breakdown servicing across our entire Bunbury Ops and Fleet, and manages an outstanding workshop and team that does not hesitate to push through the workload.
